Finally posted something have been working on house, trying for a kid, succeeded with the kid, now fixing up the house more.

Anyhoo I just bought my first digital SLR and after over 20 years of shooting on film this digital stuff is so cool here is why:

Light temperature.
Now if I was shooting indoors under tungsten with colour film the only way I could get correct colour would be to use filters, a tungsten balanced film or flood the image with flash (similar/same temperature as daylight). Now I just press a button swish a dial and I have tungsten white balance, fantastic.

ISO:
To change ISO before I had to change film or carry more than one body with different films, now I just select what I want for each picture, absolutely amazing.

And the obvious, I can see the shot when I take it. When I was first testing this I was taking some indoor shots in natural light that were coming out under exposed. The reason was accidental setting of the exposure compensation. I did this once on a film camera and you don't know until you have shot the whole role so everything is ruined. With my digital all is cool I could re-set and take the shot again. Man technology is great
