Biography
| I have been taking pictures since about 8 years old when I used to share an old SLR camera with my brother. I always had a bit of an interest in it just because I could do it and get an image in focus. I went onto camera clubs during schooling and formed an interest in journalistic photography. From there to college and onto a local paper and freelance. Now photography is a part time hobby but I still endeavour to produce a striking image every time I push the shutter. In my latter years I have moved away from taking photos of people and have returned to what I used to shoot when I was a kid of eight, just static objects and landscapes mainly. Most of the photographs here are taken whilst on my travels trying to capture the spirit of the place I am visiting rather than just recording what is around. I use an oldish second hand Nikon F90, still on the film as opposed to digital. I do enjoy the anticipation between taking the shot and waiting for it to return from the processors. I am English but have moved to Belgium in the last couple of years with my Belgium girlfriend, the food and beer here is more to my liking. The pictures are here just to be enjoyed my aim is to provide something to attend the eye be it through composition or colour. I hope you find some pleasure, as I do, in these images.
